A very big fan of Roger Federer when he was young, Holger Rune recounted with a smile a “painful” memory linked to the maestro. While his mother had bought him tickets for the last four of the Rotterdam tournament in 2013, with the aim of seeing the Swiss in particular, the latter had lost in the quarter-finals against the French Julien Benneteau (6−3, 7– 5).
“Exactly ten years ago, I was here watching the games as a fan with the whole family. I remember my mother gave me the tickets as a Christmas present to come and see Roger.
