The bad weather that has been hitting various regions of Greece since yesterday is being extended, with heavy rains, lightning and hail.
A “weasel” bad weather, as meteorologist Giorgos Tsatraphyllias characterizes it, because while it initially seemed to recede from Thursday, it will continue its course, affecting other regions of Greece, including Attica.
So far enough water has fallen in western Greece, the western and southern Peloponnese.
“The water harvest so far for western Greece and the western and southern Peloponnese is remarkable with the rain gauges showing over 70mm and 100mm of water respectively, and we are continuing” says Mr. Tsatrafillias on Facebook.

According to Thodoris Kolydas, 100mm of water has fallen on Pyrgos, while significant amounts of rain will fall in the next three days, mainly on Friday.
In Pyrgos, several roads were flooded by the heavy rains, making it difficult for vehicles to move. The electricity supply was interrupted in several settlements due to the lightning that caused damage to a DEDDIE station. Areas such as Ancient Olympia, Floka, and several villages of the former municipality of Oleni remained without electricity for a long time.
