Lawyers for the international Fahd Al-Mawlid, the player of the first youth football team, reached an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), requiring the player to complete his previous suspension in exchange for dropping the appeal case filed by the agency with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The settlement agreement between the two parties is awaiting CAS’s blessing until it becomes an official decision.
According to the agreement, the decision of the Saudi Arbitration Center to revoke the suspension of the player will be null and cannot be returned.
And according to Al-Riyadiah’s private sources, Fahd Al-Muwallad left the training of his youth team and began to implement the punishment from the first of this March, until the 20th of next August, provided that he joins the training without playing official or experimental matches two months before the date of the end of the punishment.
According to the contract concluded between the youth and the player, the club will stop paying his salaries for a period of three months, during which he does not train.
Fahd Al-Mawlid was convicted of violating the anti-doping law on May 22, 2022, and was punished by the Saudi Anti-Doping Committee with an 18-month suspension, before the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center issued a decision to overturn the decision and return the player to football, which facilitated the task of signing him to the youth club after His contract with his team, Al-Ittihad, expired while he was suspended.
