/ world today news/ Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has said that he is forced to work with a government supported by a minority of deputies in the 300-seat parliament until the agreement with creditors is concluded, a cabinet source said.
Thus, the Prime Minister made it clear that early elections will be held only after the signing of the agreements. However, this does not rule out cabinet changes.
When voting on the package of economic measures of the creditors, against which Athens will receive another financial injection of more than 80 billion euros for the recovery of the Greek economy, out of 149 SYRIZA MPs, 32 were against, 6 abstained, and one did not attended the vote. Thus the government lost 39 votes. From the coalition partner – the party “Independent Greeks” (ANEL), all 13 deputies voted “for”.
As Interior Minister Nikos Voutsis said on Thursday, early elections could be held in September or October.
