The current management of the National University of Trujillo has planned to build 4 emblematic projects in order to celebrate its 200th anniversary. It is a modern Convention Center, a Research Center (megalaboratories), an Administrative Pavilion in Ciudad Universitaria and a Sports Center, for a total investment amount of more than 226 million soles.
Convention Center
In order for the university community to have adequate spaces for the development of seminars, conferences and large-scale academic activities that contribute to strengthening its training and professional skills, the construction of a modern Convention Center has been planned.
The public investment project is called “Improvement of the cultural extension service, social projection and continuing education at the Convention Center of the National University of Trujillo”, and is valued at 39 million 569 thousand 860.62 soles to be completed in April 2025.
The work consists of the construction of a main auditorium with capacity for 1600 people, 2 auditoriums with capacity for 231 people each, 2 multipurpose rooms that will house 200 people each, a cafeteria, construction of exterior and interior works , as well as the acquisition of equipment and furniture for the academic and administrative development of conferences and communication activities and training for administrative staff on the proper functioning of the Convention Center.
Research Center (megalabs)
Likewise, it is necessary to have adequate environments and equipment to develop research activities, for which reason the construction of a Research Center (megalaboratories) has been planned with the public investment project called “Improvement of the research and innovation service in university higher education of the National University of Trujillo “, which will cost 70 million 987 thousand 357.12 soles to be completed in April 2025.
The work consists of the construction of a four-story building (two towers) that includes: 24 physical rooms for interdisciplinary laboratories, 5 physical rooms for ventilated lobbies, administration room, 3 meeting rooms, management, secretariat, maintenance room , 10 restrooms, cafeteria and kitchen, multipurpose room, general store, machine room, room for special equipment, laundry and sterilization room, maintenance workshop, room for oxygen-gas storage, secondary store, room for treatment of sewage and 5 complementary environments.
Administrative Pavilion
It is also urgent to build central and complementary administration environments (Administrative Pavilion), where the offices of the current headquarters of the former Jesuit cloister, the offices of Jirón Zepita and Independencia are concentrated, with their respective implementation with equipment and furniture, as well as such as training for administrative staff.
This project is called “Improvement of the institutional management service in university higher education in the central administration of the National University of Trujillo”, valued at 31 million 160 thousand 761.85 soles to be completed in April 2025.
Polideportivo
Finally, so that the university community has sufficient and adequate services for the practice of sports activities at the National University of Trujillo, the project “Improvement and expansion of the sports services of the National University of Trujillo” has been prepared.
This consists of the construction of sports facilities, acquisition of equipment and furniture for sports facilities and training for UNT administrative staff at a cost of 85 million 042 thousand 287.90 soles to be completed between April and May 2025.
