Unsympathetic Behavior of PSM Supporters Leads to Fines and Sanctions: PSSI Komdis Disciplinary Actions and Penalties Revealed

PSM had to accept the sap due to the unsympathetic behavior of their supporters, so they were fined.

The PSSI disciplinary committee (Komdis) imposed sanctions on PSM Makassar supporters who were involved in the commotion when Juku Eja had a home game against Dewa United at the BJ Habibie Stadium earlier this month.

The commotion involved two groups of supporters, namely PSM Fans and CSM in the south stand. In addition to clashes, fans from the two groups of supporters also took action throwing each other.

Due to the actions of their fans, PSM was forced to accept the sap. Komdis imposed a fine on PSM of IDR 25 million. Komdis also banned the south tribune from being opened when PSM hosted Persib Bandung, Saturday (22/7). Fines are also not only given to the club. The match organizing committee (panpel) had to pay a fine of IDR 20 million.

In addition to the club and committee, Komdis also gave sanctions to the two groups of PSM supporters. They are prohibited from wearing attributes in five home games.

Not only to clubs, committee members and supporters, punishment was also given to Erwin Gutawa. The PSM defender who was given a red card for stepping on an opposing player received an additional penalty of a two-game ban and a fine of IDR 10 million.

Meanwhile, midfielder Dimitrios Kolovos, who received a yellow card in that match, for kicking an opposing player, received a penalty in the form of a three-match ban and a fine of IDR 10 million. Kolovos was not playing when Dewa United drew 2-2 against Persib, Friday (14/7) evening WIB.

In addition to the punishments for PSM and Dewa United, Komdis gave fines to two other clubs, namely Barito Putera and Borneo FC. Barito Putera was declared 97 seconds late entering the field to undergo the second half when Persebaya Surabaya hosted him, so he was fined IDR 50 million.

Meanwhile, Borneo FC was fined IDR 50 million because five of its players received yellow cards when hosting Bali United on July 8, namely Leo Guntara, Terens Puhiri, Stefano Lilipaly, Win Naing Tun and Komang Teguh.
