The proceedings carried out by a prosecutor-police committee in search of a woman who is missing were unsuccessful. The wanted is Mirta Isabel Cabrera (35), who allegedly left her house, located in the downtown area of Ciudad del Este, on Saturday afternoon to go to her work but did not arrive and there was no news of her. .
Prosecutor Carolina Rosa Gadea and a group of police officers conducted a search in the Amambay stream area, Santa Ana neighborhood of Ciudad del Este. In the vicinity of this channel, the victim’s documents were found, but there was no trace of her whereabouts.
Likewise, the entourage verified the house of the now-disappeared but found no important evidence. While Mirta Isabel’s partner, identified as César Benítez, who remains in custody, as a suspect.
According to the prosecutor, in the initial inquiries they were able to find indications that Mirta Isabel Cabrera was a victim of family violence, for which reason another investigation was opened against César Benítez. Given these facts, it is not ruled out that it is a new case of femicide.
According to witnesses, last Saturday the couple starred in a heated argument and since then the woman has not been seen. According to her partner, she left home shortly before 2:00 p.m. last Saturday, bound for her work.
