The New Jersey hockey players, together with the Slovak striker Marián Studenič, defeated the NHL Edmonton 6: 5 after extra time on Saturday night.

Jack Hughes contributed two goals to the home team’s victory, including a winner in the third minute of overtime, and added one assist.
Connor McDavid and Kailer Yamamoto scored twice for the Oilers. McDavid took the lead in league productivity with 52 points (19 + 33) when he jumped his teammate Leon Draisaitl (24 + 27) by one point, who scored one assist in the night match.
Studenič played in the fourth Devils attack 10:24 min., Sent one shot at the goal, handed out two points and finished the duel with a minus. His teammate Tomáš Tatar missed the match in connection with the COVID-19 protocol, as did Washington defender Martin Fehérváry.
The Capitals won the Ice on Detroit 3: 1, thanks in large part to their captain Alexander Ovechkin. The Russian gunner arranged the guests’ triumph with two goals at the end of the third period.
The winning goal was scored 2:51 minutes before the end of regular playing time, when at 1: 1 he prevailed in a power play with a traditional cannonball without preparation from the blue line.
It was his 275th accurate hit and set a league record. In the historical ranking, he beat Dave Andreychuk (274) in the number of powerlifting goals. He has held the record since 2002.
For Ovečkin, it was also the 119th winning goal in the NHL, which distracted him from the third place in the historical table from Phil Esposito. Only Jaromír Jágr (135) and Gordie Howe (121) are better off in the number of winning goals.
At the end of the duel, the 36-year-old wingman added another hit to the empty net, his 24th goal of the season and a total of 754th in his profile career.
