This weekend, the atmospheric conditions will continue to be unstable mainly in northern and eastern Japan, and people should be careful of sudden thunderstorms. November will start next week, but temperatures are expected to be high, and summer days are expected to continue from the Kanto region to the west. The pace of the seasons will be slow.
First half (October 28th to November 3rd) Temperatures rise in November and sunny skies on Culture Day
This weekend (28th to 29th), atmospheric instability will continue in Tohoku, Hokuriku, Kanto, and Tokai regions due to cold air in the upper atmosphere. When going out on the last Saturday and Sunday of October, please be careful of sudden strong rain, lightning, and gusts of wind such as tornadoes. Even along the mountains of the Kanto region, where the autumn leaves are in full bloom, the weather can change easily, so you need to be careful.
From the 30th (Monday) to the 31st (Tuesday), the weather will be covered by high pressure, and it will be clear in autumn across the country. There are many places where the weather will be pleasant and sunny during the day.
From November 1st (Wednesday) to November 3rd (Friday), sunny skies will continue in Kyushu and Kanto, but as a cold front approaches Tohoku and Hokkaido, heavy rain is likely to fall mainly on the Sea of Japan side. The number of summer days with maximum temperatures of 25℃ or higher is expected to increase rapidly in western and eastern Japan. There are still some hot, sweaty days in November, so it’s best not to put away your light clothes just yet.
Second half (November 4th to 9th) The weather changes periodically, and the heat calms down after the 3-day holiday
On the 4th (Saturday), there will be some areas where it will rain, especially in northern Japan, which will be affected by fronts and low pressure systems.
On Sunday the 5th, the last day of the holidays, the weather will be downhill from the west, and it is expected to rain widely from Kyushu to Tokai on Monday the 6th. There is also a possibility of rain in Kanto, Tohoku, and Hokkaido, which are marked as cloudy. The heat will gradually subside, and there will be fewer summer days.
It will be sunny in many places after the 7th (Tuesday), but it will continue to rain in Hokkaido until the 7th. Rain is expected to start in Kyushu from around the 8th (Wednesday), and rain clouds are expected to form in the Kanto region around the 9th (Thursday). By the second week of November, there will be almost no summer days from the Kanto region to the west, so it may be time to put away your light clothes.
