The arrival of a new Atlantic storm on the peninsula will leave a weekend marked by rains, which will be the protagonists in large areas of the country, and with temperatures, with hardly any changes, very consistent for this time of year.

This Friday the rain will still discharge strongly in points in Girona, Tarragona, Castellón, Almería, the Gulf of Valencia, the Murcia region and in the Balearic Islands, where the alert has been activated due to rainfall that will accumulate between 40 and 25 liters per square meter in a time.
These strong accumulations are in line with those collected in the last hours in points of the Central, Center and East peninsular system, where up to 60 liters per square meter have been accumulated; Torrential showers have been registered in Almería and Murcia in the last 24 hours, those that accumulate 10 liters per square meter in just 10 minutes.
On Saturday it will rain in the Balearic Islands and in points of Extremadura, although the rainiest day will be registered in Catalonia, with an orange warning for rainfall greater than or equal to 40 liters in an hour, has detailed the spokesperson for the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), Ruben Del Campo.
On that day, the approach of a new Atlantic storm in western Portugal will also leave heavy showers accompanied by storms in western Andalusia, which may extend to the rest of the southwest peninsula and the Canary Islands.
As of Sunday, it is very likely that the Mediterranean storm will continue its displacement towards the east, but already with a tendency to an improvement in that area, while the Atlantic storm will leave rains, although increasingly dispersed, in Extremadura and Andalusia.
From the field It has pointed out that instability will prevail in the Canary Islands with rains, which will intensify on Sunday and that they can be strong and with a storm in the north of the islands; the wind will blow strong or very strong in the highlands of the western islands.
THE TEMPERATURES
Regarding temperatures, the spokesman has forecast values ”without great changes”, with occasional frosts in mountainous areas.
On Saturday, the daytime hours will rise in almost the whole country and at night they will fall in most of the peninsula, with some weak frosts only in mountain areas, and a snow level between 1,600 / 1,800 meters in the Pyrenees.
That day, the maximum will be recorded in Cádiz and Alicante, with 19 degrees, followed by Almería, Bilbao, Huelva, Lleida, Malaga, Santander, Seville, Tarragona, Pontevedra and Murcia, with values between 17 and 18 degrees; The coolest day will be spent in Castilla y León, 0 where in all its provinces it will barely exceed 10 degrees.
At night, Castilla y León will also be the coldest, with lows that will not exceed 1 and 4 degrees.
On Sunday, the snow level will be high -1,400 / 1,800 meters- in the western half of the peninsula, and about 1,800 meters in the Pyrenees; the diurnal ones will fall in the southwest of the peninsula and the Canary Islands, rising in the eastern third and the Balearic Islands, and will continue with little change in the rest.
By province capitals, Murcia will have the warmest day with 20 degrees, Tarragona and Alicante with 19 degrees, while in Almería, Badajoz, Barcelona, A Coruña, Ourense, Oviedo, Pamplona, Oviedo, Valencia, Zaragoza the thermometer will oscillate between 15 and 18 degrees.
