Pokémon
Over the years, Pokémon has surprised us with video games, spin-offs, as well as with its anime and movies. It is one of those stories that never stops growing and giving fans the most unexpected moments. So much so that in his adventures we can find all kinds of references, as is the case with Sesame Street. Despite this, there are always elements that fall by the wayside, such as some ideas designed for anime that never saw the light.
It is not only in video games that we have come across ideas that have not finally flourished. One of the last cases is with an idea that was planned to be included right at the end of the anime and where a Pokémon rebellion would be included, with these tired of the treatment of humans. Something very similar to what Mewtwo usually shows us in some way with his appearances.
The scrapped script for the Pokémon anime
It was Takeshi Shudo, Pokémon screenwriter, who revealed at the time that he had an idea in mind that was finally scrapped. Here he stated that, in the style of Spartacus in Rome, Although Pokémon seem to be good friends with humansthey would realize that they have been used by humans as “slaves”.
Given that idea, the Pokémon would start a rebellion, Pikachu being the leader of this group and would even have to fight Ash. However, although the idea was in mind and he became interested in carrying it out, in the end it was never carried out and the screenwriter died. A sad loss of a mind that could have left us with one of the most revolutionary chapters.
