Epic recently released the latest “Next Generation Console” promotional video, showcasing a number of next-generation console games developed with Unreal Engine, including “Hogwarts legacy“” and other new unlisted new screens, let players get a glimpse of the visual performance of the game, from fierce dinosaurs to fantasy cats.-
According to Epic, Unreal Engine is ready for next-generation consoles, supporting Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S. Epic is working with game console manufacturers and dozens of game consoles using Unreal Engine 4 to create next-generation games Developers and publishers work closely together.
Unreal Engine 5 will be launched in preview at the beginning of 2021 and will be fully released at the end of 2021, supporting next-generation game consoles, modern-generation game consoles, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
Epic said that Unreal Engine is designed for forward-looking compatibility, so developers can now start next-generation game development through Unreal Engine 4, and transfer projects to Unreal Engine 5 in the future.
