The baby had been fertilized in vitro at a fertility clinic. However, the father noticed that the child had a different blood group from his and his wife’s when they left the establishment.
In the last hours, an unprecedented situation occurred in Argentina. A partner had her third child in San Isidro and when they were about to leave the clinic, the father realized that something was not right. The Blood type of newborn did not correspond to those of the man and the woman.
Faced with this situation, they decided to carry out a new blood test and a dna study that ratified the incompatibility of the baby with his supposed parents.
The couple had developed a treatment of in vitro fertilization but, having not resorted to egg or sperm donation, the embryo only had to have genetic material from them. However, the woman had mistakenly been transferred another couple’s embryo at the fertility clinic.

After what happened, the criminal justice carried out an investigation to determine if there was any crime. According to the investigators’ consideration, there appears to have been a error in it medical treatment. As the professionals of the establishment acted without the intention of committing the crime and for the moment there were no injuries, the prosecution dismissed the case.
