His story is gathering an unprecedented wave of empathy. More than 8,000 admirers of Gogo have so far signed a petition demanding that he remain in the Plovdiv library building.
The library staff also made him a special wooden house outside with a feeder. The pet can go for a walk whenever it wants.
Gogo appeared in the city library on St. George’s Day 10 months ago, and since then he has been the mascot of the librarians, who take loving care of him. The kitten is extremely calm, loving and sociable.
For the first months, Gogo lived in the hall for free access of readers illegally. “Jatatsi librarians” provided him with protection secretly from the director of the library.
