Manchester United stumbled against Liverpool 1-2. Defeat at home red devils that although they dominated the game and the match, they did not dominate the scoreboard. An early goal from Ella Toone suggested a good game but an own goal from Turner made things go wrong. In the sixty-eighth minute Hinds completed the visitors’ comeback.

City beat Everton 4-1. I found it completely controlled by Manchester City, with a Hattrick from Shaw, who became the league’s top scorer with nine goals, and a goal from Jill Roord passed over Everton with hardly any effort. Everton’s goal was scored by the Italian Galli in the sixty-fifth minute.

Chelsea comfortably beat Bristol 0-3. They marked for blues James, Cuthbert and Sam Kerr. Emma Hayes’ players took good advantage of Arsenal’s defeat to put some distance between themselves and the second-place team, after losing to them the previous day. This was the first of the three games in which a player saw the red card. In this case it was Niamh Charles already in added time of the match.

West Ham had to go against the flow to get a point this day. Leicester and West Ham tied 1-1. It was the home team who took the lead first through Petermann, who scored again this weekend. The end of the game had everything, first the expulsion of Cissoko in the ninety-fifth minute and three minutes later with one less player came West Ham’s equalizer thanks to Hayashi.

Aston Villa beat Brighton 1-0, despite shooting twenty times on goal compared to Brighton’s seven. The Canadian Leon scored the only goal of the game that gave Villa three very important points. Although the locals finished the match one less after Pacheco’s double yellow card, they managed to hold on to the result.

Chelsea remains the leader and Manchester City snatches second place from Arsenal although both are tied on points. United are fourth, a little further from the podium and tied with Liverpool. Tottenham are sixth, Everton seventh and Leicester eighth. Aston Villa are ninth after returning to points after two days and Brighton are tenth. West Ham and Bristol close the table tied on points.
