Unpleasant situation in some part of Latvia. A man has passed away, but refuses to fulfill his last will and bury him in the grave next to his parents.
The departed are able to communicate with the living. The famous sculptor Mārtiņš Zaurs, who, thanks to his ambitious work in the creation of grave monuments, was well acquainted with grave monuments, once shared with the respected cultural historian Gunārs Kuški a peculiar incident related to the desecration of the grave of the spouse of a respected poet.
Tragically, she had lost her life in a car accident on November 2, 1973 and was laid to rest in the Meža cemetery. Her last wish was to be buried with an expensive ring on her finger. In the following nights, the spirit of the deceased insisted to the thief: “Give me back my ring!” This nightmare continued until the thief dug up the grave again and placed the ring in the coffin. Relatives once again observed the disturbance of the burial place, prompting them to open it, only to be surprised by the presence of the ring in the coffin.
