Watch the summary of Almere City FC – PSV
PSV is still without a point loss after three matches in the new Eredivisie season. The Eindhoven team had little trouble with Almere City on Saturday evening and booked a resounding victory: 1-7.
Within fifteen minutes, PSV had a 2-0 lead in Flevoland with goals from Guus Til and Luuk de Jong. After the break, Almere briefly brought the tension back into the match with a goal from Kornelius Hansen, but the visitors ran out to a big score in the last half hour.
PSV won all three Eredivisie matches of this season (goal difference: 15-3) and are therefore on nine points. Almere City lost everything and are at the bottom of the Eredivisie without a point (goal difference: 1-11).
PSV started with a somewhat flawed starting line-up. Jerdy Schouten, who seems to be of great interest to Napoli, and Johan Bakayoko were absent due to injuries. Furthermore, Fredrik Oppegard and Richard Ledezma managed the back positions due to personnel problems.
Despite this, PSV made it clear early in the match that there was little to gain for Almere City. Til had already fired a ‘warning shot’ after two minutes that was stopped, but after ten minutes it was a hit. It was a typical Til goal: he was alert in the penalty area after a low cross from Noa Lang.
Shortly afterwards, captain De Jong scored a fine volley from a corner by Joey Veerman, putting PSV in a good position.

However, it seemed to be exciting shortly after the break when Almere attacker Kornelius Hansen made the connecting goal. He cut and turned well free in the penalty area, to finish in a considered way. It was the first Eredivisie goal for Almere this Eredivisie season.
It proved to be just a brief moment of hope for the home team. PSV had no mercy on the Flevolanders and ran out to a big score in the last half hour.
Substitute Couhaib Driouech, who scored on his debut for PSV last week, made it 1-3 with a great volley, after which Malik Tillman also made it 1-4.
Still Pepi
Then it seemed that substitute Ricardo Pepi also scored, but the replay showed that it was an own goal by Almere player Theo Barbet.
After Hirving Lozano had scored, his third goal of the season, making him the top scorer in the Eredivisie at the moment, Pepi got his goal after all. On a pass from Driouech, he finished like a true striker and determined the final score at 1-7.
