Unpaid Work Awareness Campaign in Moudon Shines Light on Gender Inequality

Unpaid work, i.e. household activities (shopping, laundry, meals, cleaning, etc.) and care work (taking care of children and elderly parents), is at the heart of an awareness campaign in Moudon. A working group from the Vaud Feminist Strike will display posters on this theme on Places Mauricette-Cachemaille and Augusta-Gillabert-Randin, from March 6 and for two weeks.

Some of its members will also hold, with the Moudon Feminist Strike Collective, an information stand on March 8 at the market, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., on the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day. The public will have the opportunity to play “upset the patriarchy” to overturn obstacles to women’s rights by aiming for egalitarian objectives.
