Although the Nissan brand announced a certain revival on the Czech market some time ago, the sales numbers remain rather below expectations. Even the most popular Qashqai crossover reports only 129 registrations for the first half of this year, according to the statistics of the Association of Car Importers, the other models add up to barely a few dozen. And maybe the electric SUV Ariya, which was presented three (!) years ago and could boldly compete with Enyaq in our country? Three registrations ever…
They have more pleasant worries in America. Introduced two years ago, the Nissan Z sports coupe, which scores today with an unusual combination of a 400-horsepower six-cylinder twin-turbo engine, a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, has received an even angrier version. Here, the three-liter V6 cooperates “only” with a nine-speed automatic, but it has improved by another 20 horses and 46 newton meters. The maximum torque of 520 Nm is also available in a wide range from 2000 to 5200 rpm. However, “Zetko” with the nickname Nismo is also distinguished by other specialties.
Except for the automatic tuned especially for this model, we are talking about lightweight nineteen-inch wheels. Those on the sharpest Z wear Dunlop sports tires also used on the GT-R sports car, but here with a slightly different size.

Nissan Z Nismo spares no expense in Alcantara in the cabin. You would look for the manual transmission lever here in vain, the huge digital instrument panel in the hood cannot be overlooked.
However, the changes also concern the bodywork itself, in order to improve cooling and downforce. We can notice the redesigned front mask with a “Grand-Nose” design. It is not so strictly rectangular in shape, it is extended more into the corners of the body and it must be said that the car now looks many times better. We must not forget the lollipop on the front bumper, modified thresholds or the rear diffuser. Anyway, this Nismo is far from just a few extra hobbies…
In addition, the Japanese highlight a more robust brake system, retuned shock absorbers and stiffer springs. The creators say that the “zetko” is now 2.5 percent stiffer and has sharper steering. In order to make the most of all the changes, Nissan added a new Sport+ driving mode, which is primarily intended for racing circuits. Specific Recaro sports seats with pronounced lateral guidance also count on their frequent visits.

That all sounds too wonderful for today? You’re right. The Nissan Z and its offshoots are not officially sold in Europe, and this also applies to the top Nismo. Anyone interested in such a car must rely on individual importers. Those interested overseas will see the first pieces in the fall of this year.
Is it a shame that the Nissan Z is not officially sold in Europe?
No way, such cars have long since run out of steam.
