Unmasking Mikhail Galustyan: The Many Names of a Famous Comedian

Changed many names, but forgot to name the present.

Mikhail Galustyan became famous as a player in KVN, and then as an actor who played in many comedies and humorous shows. He also created his own film company, gave the voice to the cartoon character Kung Fu Panda, and released several tracks under the pseudonym Super Zhorik. But among the many of these names there is not a single real one. In fact, both the name and surname of the artist should sound different.

The comedian has repeatedly admitted that according to the documents his name is not Mikhail, but Nshan. He was named after his grandfather, whom everyone called Misha. Therefore, in childhood, the comedian was also called Misha or Mikhail. According to Galustyan, he heard the name Nshan only from law enforcement officers. However, he likes both names – both Russian and Armenian.

But it turned out that his grandfather also had a different surname – his name was Nshan Golustyan, through the letter “O”. How and when Golustyan turned into Galustyan remains a mystery. Most likely, an error crept into the documents at some point.
