These buses are called the last kilometer transport, as they will transport people from major transport hubs to remote areas.

In the city of Tartu in the south of Estonia, unmanned minibuses that run on hydrogen fuel have started to run. Compact buses are designed for six passengers and do not pollute the environment, reports on Monday, July 5, TSN.

At the first stage, this transport will operate in test mode. In Estonia, these buses are called the transport of the last kilometer, because they will transport people from major transport hubs to remote areas.

The self-driving bus was developed by Auve Tech in cooperation with the University of Tartu.

It is controlled remotely by operators in a single center, according to the university’s website.

Auve Tech CEO Johannes Moss believes that hydrogen transport is important to the environment as it is an environmentally friendly replacement for private cars.

When driving, a hydrogen-fueled minibus emits only water vapor and thermal energy into the atmosphere.

Earlier it was reported that Britain will have the first hydrogen fuel house.
