The long-awaited duel between the Prunier brothers (MC Montluçon) and the Auvray-Musset team (AM Chinon) did not take place yesterday afternoon on the Quinssaines motocross circuit.
And it was finally, at the end of the three rounds, the crew made up of Thomas Hamard and Mathis Hupon (Torcé en Vallé) who won the third stage of the French sidecar cross inter championship thanks to two second places and a fourth.

The mechanics played nasty tricks on the two big favorites of the competition. In the first round, the engine of the Montluçonnais “dropped in a jump” forcing them to retire.

“It was a bit creepy”
“It was a little scary,” says Killian, the pilot. After a few “engine modifications”, the two brothers resumed their march forward, outrageously dominating the next two heats.
Multiple champions of France, Auvray and Musset did not give them a hard time. Because they, too, had mechanical problems. After winning the first heat, the crew from Indre-et-Loire broke the clutch box on the third lap of the second heat. We will not see them in the race again.
Disappointed not to be on the podium at home, the Prunier brothers can still be positive. They remain well ahead of the French championship with thirty points ahead of their runners-up. Next stage on April 30 and May 1, in Pontigné, in Maine-et-Loire.
The classification at the end of the three rounds. 1. Hamard/Hupon (Torcé en Vallé), 62 pts; 2. Chanteloup/Villaines (Torcé en Vallé), 58 pts; 3. Raymond-Boucher (Torcé en Vallé), 54 pts; 4. Prunier/Prunier (MC Montluçon), 50 pts; 5. Bendaoud / Pasquier (MC Montluçon), 44 pts.
