Håvard Nordtveit has been shown a foot fracture in the wake of Saturday’s Bundesliga final against Erling Braut Haaland’s Borussia Dortmund.
It confirms the Norwegian national team’s profile Hoffenheim in social media.
Nordtveit started Saturday’s away game in Dortmund on the bench, but came in seven minutes before the end. Shortly after, he incurred a bang and had to be helped by the pitch.
So it turns out that the 30-year-old has suffered a rupture.
“Howie Nordtveit sustained a fracture in his right foot in Dortmund yesterday,” Hoffenheim writes, wishing the Norwegian good improvement.
Uncertain time horizon
No timeframe is given for how long the roe landing will be away from the football. Thus, it is unclear whether Nordtveit will be available when next season starts next month.
The German Football Association (DFB) has previously announced that it will be scheduled for the start of the series on August 21.
Nordtveit also struggled with injury ahead of Saturday’s season finale against Dortmund. He had then missed Hoffenheim’s last two games as a result of a muscular problem.
EM dream
The 30-year-old has a contract with Hoffenheim until 2022. Earlier this year he announced that the trip then goes home to Haugesund. In an interview with Hoffenheim’s own magazine “Spielfeld” more than the rye-lander also suggested that the national team career should end this summer.
