Mariska bauer: Thank you for having me. Life after my stroke⁣ has been a journey of learning and adapting. I still experience moments of forgetfulness and sensitivity to overstimulation, but I’ve learned to‍ manage them.I’ve‌ also become ​much more resolute to live life to the fullest and ⁢not let anything hold me back.

Dr. Emma ⁤van der ⁤Meer: Thank you⁢ for the question. Stroke survivors often deal‌ with cognitive challenges, such as memory issues and difficulty with language, as well as physical limitations. The⁣ key to recovery is a ⁣combination of medical intervention, rehabilitation, ‍and, most importantly, a ⁤strong support⁣ system.‌ Mariska’s determination and willingness to step out of her comfort zone⁢ are excellent examples of how ⁣mindset plays a crucial role in recovery.

mariska Bauer: It was a huge challenge for‍ me. Performing on stage was something I never thought I’d do,especially ‍after my stroke. But I realized that life is too short to hold back. My stroke made me think, ‌“Why not me?” So, I decided to go for it. It was‍ exhilarating and terrifying simultaneously occurring, but I’m so glad ⁤I did⁣ it. It’s a reminder that we can achieve more than we think, even after‌ facing‍ adversity.
