According to him, an artificial conflict is created between the transport sector and the toll system, from which the wrongdoers take advantage. “Lack of control allows for gentrification. Someone would say that there could be resistance in the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, why not? Digitization and what’s happening in banking is taking away terrain and functions from the police officers who are hiding in the bushes with the baton,” he added.
“The toll system is the third largest revenue agency that has no powers. It should be removed and separated as a unit – its place is either in the Ministry of Finance or in the Council of Ministers.
