For many companies, marketing their products or services via Facebook, Instagram & Co. is a huge success. Innovative companies use social media to improve customer loyalty and the image of their brand. But not everyone manages to successfully place their offer on the various platforms.
“Social media is complex and constantly changing,” says Florian Eckardt from the economic development department in the Coburg district office. “Small companies in particular find it incredibly difficult to find the right platform and format for them and their target group.” In addition, they often work without a plan. If there are no successes, it can be frustrating. The start-up advisor is constantly in contact with founders and therefore sees first-hand where companies need support.
But if companies take the right path right from the start, there is enormous potential in social media. According to Florian Eckardt, especially for smaller and young companies, it is almost nowhere as easy to reach the target groups for your own product or service as on the various platforms.
“We take note of what motivates our companies in the Coburg district,” says the head of the district’s economic development department, Martin Schmitz. He would like to support entrepreneurs in getting involved in the exciting topic of social media: “We want to help our companies pursue a clear strategy and develop key competencies.”
“The fact that we always have something new to offer in the Coburg region and are happy to take slightly different paths is something that our economic development team stands for,” says District Administrator Sebastian Straubel about the offer. This helps to shape the future of the region actively, creatively and in a contemporary way.
Under the heading “Content is King”, the district economic development department has developed a format in which local companies can benefit from the know-how of regional experts in a practical way. Cindy Maaser from “Marketingkomplizen” from Neustadt and Claudio Büttner from “hub.633” from Rödental are leading a seminar on behalf of the economic development agency in which the focus is on practical application for the participants.
The training focuses on solving the two central questions in social media marketing: “What should I post?” and “How do I create exciting content?” The participants will spend three hours on November 16th and 17th the Digitale Manufaktur in Rödental to find suitable solutions for their business. In the first part, goals, target groups, the purchasing process and suitable formats such as images, graphics and videos are developed. The second part of the seminar deals with the formats in which these can be summarized and the platforms on which they can be posted, including practical implementation.
In order to be able to address the business reality of the participants as intensively as possible, the workshop is limited to ten people. Interested parties can now apply for one of the free seminar places. Detailed information about the process is available at www.wirtschaft-coburg.de or contact Florian Eckardt at the telephone number 09561/5145105.
