In the third year of the corona crisis, there are many people who participated in the PC upgrade that was carried out for involuntary reasons. What was left in my hand like that, I noticed it here and there and reacted to the recommendation of my acquaintances around me with a flutter, and completed it. The problem was that it was prepared in a hurry, so I only knew how to use it, but setting is actually a situation that is not strange even if I think of ‘what is that?’.
So I prepared it because I thought I would need it. Just in time for the summer vacation, there is a refugee crisis starting with the online game Black Desert. Of course, there is no hindrance to enjoying the game even if you do not follow the guide. Nevertheless, it is recommended to refer to it because it is a kind of tip that can increase the performance of your PC.

# Pearl Abyss Black Desert AMD FSR application, performance UP!
According to Pearl Abyss claims, if AMD FSR is applied to its game Black Desert, you can feel the frame increase effect up to 2.4x. This is a change made possible by the partnership between AMD and Pearl Abyss, and related information was disclosed through Computex in June 2021. For reference, the Black Desert game was serviced from April 2019.
The key is Fidelityfx super resolution (FSR) technology.
It is a rendering method that enables high-quality, high-resolution games by raising the frame rate in games. As a side note, FSR renders an image at a lower resolution and then goes through an open-source spatial dilation algorithm to make it look like it’s running at a higher resolution.

This is the strength of FSR, and NVIDIA DLSS, which is hot these days, is a half-seat function that can only be implemented in an environment with specific hardware (Nvidia 4000 series or higher ‘at least 3000 series or higher’ graphic card). ① Right-click on the desktop -> Select AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition and run
② AMD Software: In Adrenalin Edition, go to Game -> Graphics at the top
③ Radeon Enhanced Sync item -> Change to Enabled (Remove frame limit)
# Black desert online game FSR settings
It is a method that can be implemented without riding on system characteristics. FSR can activate the function if the various graphics cards or built-in GPUs listed above support Radeon codecs. If you pay attention to the fact that it is universal and can be used regardless of the system, virtually any system purchased at the time of Corona 3 can be implemented.
① During Black Desert gameplay, press ESC to display the menu window, then click the game settings icon to move to the game settings menu.
② Screen Settings -> Go to Quality, scroll down and select FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 checkbox
ㄴ Then, you can set from Ultra Quality to Performance. As you go to Performance, the frame rate increases, but the picture quality decreases slightly. As you go to Ultra Quality, there is no picture quality degradation, but the frame rate rise is reduced.
What is noteworthy is that FSR is constantly undergoing version upgrades and the effect is further improved. After the FSR 1.0 version was released to the world in May 21, the version was upgraded to 2.0 in March 22, repeating improvements. As a result of repeated functional improvements, FSR has been supported in more than 110+ online games in addition to Black Desert, which was introduced.
