Now you can use emulators on Xbox Series X/S again, even if you set the consoles to retail mode, i.e. standard. We’re talking about the UWP emulators that were blocked by Microsoft in April 2023, with some claiming that Nintendo was behind the decision and others pointing fingers at Xenia, the Xbox 360 emulator, as a trigger.

In fact, emulators could still be used by setting the consoles to developer mode, but a way has now been discovered to do this without having to do so, however resorting to a trick.

Please be aware that this is not an official option and should only be taken as a way to bypass the ban by taking advantage of the Xbox Series system. Xenia, Dolphin, XBSX, and Retroarch are now available again and, according to Modern Vintage Gaming’s tests, work great, waiting for someone from Redmond to notice and block the trick.
