As released in an interview with the newspaper L’Identità, the President of FederPetroli Italia Michele Marsiglia, declared that the situation of the Italian energy recovery plan is still stalled or practically at a standstill.
To date, the development of new drilling has not had the announced success and bills are on the rise, despite low consumption and gas prices on international markets. While for storage today an optimal level is highlighted thanks to the great work of foreign procurement of the product but the few infrastructures present in the peninsula are worrying.
Instead, I applaud the excellent success of the Mattei Plan for Italy which continues to show interest from foreign countries and which allows companies to operate in most of Africa and the Middle East, remaining competitive in the scenarios of oil prices and OPEC policies.
FederPetroli Italia announces an upcoming request for a meeting with the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin for a redefinition of PITESAI (Plan for the sustainable energy transition of suitable areas), an urgent and necessary measure for the release of concessions aimed at the development of new exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in Italy.
With a full energy industrial operation in Italy, in a short time the household bill would drop considerably, especially the cost of fuel. In a crescendo, our country would reach 42% of its energy needs, with advanced extraction techniques and aiming at full environmental sustainability.
