PlayStation dropped a fun little surprise just in time for the weekend.
For those of you who haven’t bought PlayStation Plus yet or stopped buying it due to price increases, now is the time to enjoy your free membership.
Before you get too excited, this free membership is a limited time offer and won’t last long once you have it.
I love being one Caravan Sandhills? Of course you do! Check out the trailer now
This weekend, PlayStation users can enjoy “free online multiplayer,” a perk usually locked behind a PS Plus subscription.
Of course, you won’t get all the benefits as paying members, but it’s a way to enjoy the benefits without spending a dime.
The offer is for PS4 and PS5 players and will work with any game you own that has a multiplayer option.
Note “any game you own” – if you don’t have it, this free PS Plus offer won’t work.
Although the news sparked a debate about multiplayer locked behind paywalls, players are still happy with the unexpected reward.
“Online shouldn’t be locked behind a paywall, but thanks for the weekend,” posted Either-Scheme-9731.
Someone else said: “Yes, now I can see how many likes I got on the notes I left around Yharnam in Transmitted through blood years ago.”
We do not cry for the lack of one Transmitted through blood remaster, you are.
Before you take advantage of this limited offer – which runs from September 21 to September 22 – consider those who pay the subscription.
October’s PS Plus lineup is off to a pretty grim start, so you might be the one to win if you don’t have a subscription.
For those of you PS Plus users who are still bitter about that lineup from October, you have something they don’t have: a surprise free “explosion” game.
If you are not a member but want to enjoy some of its benefits, this weekend is the time to do so.
