Jujutsu Kaisen introduces us to Megumi’s new Escape Rabbits technique, which proves very useful to him and Yuji during their fight. Here’s everything we know about it.
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen adapts the Shibuya Drama. And episode 11 features Yuji and Megumi facing off against a fearsome plague master, Jiro Awasaka. While Gojo is sealed, the wizards split into groups to control the situation in Shibuya. Their top priority is to free Gojo.
But the Shibuya Curtain blocks them, so Yuji, Megumi, and Ino join forces to take on the plague masters keeping it up. While Yuji and Megumi take care of Jiro, Ino stays behind to confront Ogami and her grandson. We also see the iconic character Toji Fushiguro, summoned by Ogami using his grandson’s body as a medium.

Additionally, Yuji’s raw power, coupled with Megumi’s intelligence and versatility of techniques, was more than enough to defeat Jiro. The fight was above all an opportunity to discover for the first time in Jujutsu Kaisen Megumi’s Escape Rabbits technique. The character summons a group of rabbit shikigami, particularly useful in critical situations.
The Escape Rabbits technique in Jujutsu Kaisen
The Escape Rabbits is an extension of Megumi’s Ten Shadows Technique which allows her to summon a countless horde of rabbits. To activate this technique, Megumi must form a shadow play of a rabbit’s head with her hands.

Individually, rabbits are weak because they have no offensive power. However, they are a great diversion. Additionally, their high numbers can also provide other forms of support. Unlike Megumi’s other shikigami, such as Nue, rabbits can continue to appear regardless of whether some of them are destroyed.
Megumi first uses the Escape Rabbits technique during the Shibuya arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. While fighting Jiro Awasaka, he summons rabbit shikigami to escape with Yuji. Countless rabbits invade the metropolitan expressway. The rabbits also help Megumi understand Jiro’s innate technique.

Because Jiro’s Vice-Versa technique makes the rabbits more powerful than they should be, thus causing Jiro to perceive them as a threat. The wall of rabbits around Awasaka therefore allows Megumi to escape, and he only dissolves it once he is ready to resume the fight. Megumi would use this technique several times later, even against her father, Toji Fushiguro.
