Unleashing Power: Volkswagen ID.3 GTX Performance Launches with 326 HP and Impressive Range

At the same time when the four-wheel ID.7 was launched in a sporty GTX version, we also learned that the ID.3 comes in a GTX version with 285 hp and a solid torque of 545 Nm.

But Volkswagen is not giving up. Because there will be an even stronger version called GTX Performance. This is said by Volkswagen in a press release. It gets the output up to 326 horses so it will be the first model to get the Volkswagen Performance powertrain. This is what the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association writes on their website.

Actually, it’s just the same motor as the regular GTX, but with more power output. And Volkswagen may come with several Performance editions, both with four-wheel drive and an output of more than 400 hp.

The ID.3 GTX Performance gets a new battery of 79 kWh net and a charging speed of 185 kW. They claim that a charging session from 10-80 percent on a fast charger will take about 26 minutes. The range must be marked as 601 kilometers. WLTP consumption is 1.65 kWh per mile.

– With its spontaneous power delivery, the ID.3 GTX Performance for me is the electric opposite of our sporty icon Golf GTI Clubsport, says Kai Grunitz, member of the Volkswagen board and responsible for development, in the press release.

He says that the electric driveline has a completely different character to a turbocharged petrol engine with a manual gearbox, but at the same time mentions the acceleration time of 0-100 km / h in 5.7 seconds, and the ease of the car’s power and configuration provision.

Performance gets stronger stabilizer bars so, according to Volkswagen, it should lie flatter in the curves. It has also received new programs of the active shock absorbers. Cool chairs with pull-out cushions and fixed headrests are standard.
