Fulqrum and Byte Barrel have announced that an early access version of supernatural FPS Forgive Me Father 2 is now available on PC for Steam, Epic Games and GoG, following its launch at Steam Next Fest. This preview version includes 10 nightmarish levels that continue the The story of the protagonist of the first film, the Priest, who faces hordes of enemies inspired by the fictional works of HP Lovecraft, with a set of 10 weapons and a system that evokes classics of the genre, such as Doom or Quake. We had the chance to go hands-on with it at Gamescom and interview the studio’s CEO Ernest Krystian, which you can watch below with English subtitles.
To emphasize the unique design features that set it apart from other games, all level designs in Forgive Me Father 2 were created by hand using Unreal Engine 5. As Krystian told us,“Well, the main thing is that all elements of the game are created by hand, so we have full control over how it looks on screen”.
This is definitely an action-packed retro love letter to all FPS fans. Starting with the original, players delve deeper into the mythology in a darker story, gaining abilities from the equippable pages of the Dark Book to enhance your insane abilities throughout the story. Whether it’s healing wounds through health enhancements, becoming more powerful through strength, increasing fire and reload speed through acceleration, or reducing damage through stamina.
Forgive Me Father 2 is available in Early Access on the above platforms for €19.99.
