According to the newspaper “Le Figaro”, quoted by ITAR-TASS, experts from the auction house “Artcurial”, while examining a set of letters given to them by a collector, found two sheets of very thin paper covered with illegible scribbles and corrections. They were surprised to find that they were holding in their hands previously unknown versions of two of the chapters of The Little Prince. According to expert Olivier Devereux, the project most likely dates from 1941, and thus is the older version than this one , which is located in the National Library of France. In total, according to experts, there are four typewritten copies with author’s corrections of the book. The final version of the manuscript was published in 1943, and since then it has definitely been one of the most translated and sold French books worldwide.
