Unknown man abuses 19-year-old – police search with phantom photo

He threw a young woman to the ground and abused her. Now the Hamburg police are looking for the perpetrator. A phantom photo should help.

The police are searching for a man who is accused of having committed a sexual offense against a 19-year-old in July. A phantom photo, which the officers are now making public, should help in this process. A spokesman announced this on Wednesday.

According to the information, the crime occurred on July 20th at around 2:15 a.m. on Schloßstraße in Hamburg-Wandsbek. According to the information so far, the unknown man first engaged the young woman in conversation. He then suddenly threw the woman to the ground, strangled her and performed sexual acts on her before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction, according to the police.

Since the responsible department for sexual crimes (LKA 42) has not yet been able to report any success despite extensive investigations, the Hamburg District Court has now initiated a public search at the request of the public prosecutor. Together with the descriptions of the 19-year-old, they are hoping for information from the public.

According to the young woman, the man is said to be about 1.80 meters tall and around 25 to 30 years old. He has a “strong, broad-shouldered figure and is slightly overweight,” dark blonde, stubbly hair and a stubble beard. His nose is wide, his skin is scarred and uneven. What is particularly noticeable is an “oval skin feature in the middle of his forehead,” according to the police.

The perpetrator also had dark eyes “with pronounced eyelashes” and a “southern appearance”. At the time of the crime, the unknown man was said to have been wearing a black zip-up sweatshirt, a white shirt underneath, and green cargo pants.

The Hamburg police will accept information on 040/428656789 or any other police station.
