Big changes are taking place in the Czech banking industry, and not only those that are visible at first glance and are related to how banks are consolidating here and increasingly large institutions are being created that will not have such a motivation to meet clients, but also those that they take place under the surface and few people notice them at first glance.
They won’t tell you anything
A few days ago, we reported on how the important Czech bank Raiffeisenbank began to cancel the accounts of its clients to a relatively large extent. There are apparently tens to hundreds of affected people. They have one thing in common: they don’t know what they did wrong, and although they tried to meet the bank’s requirements, and for example provided all the necessary documents, in the end it still ended with the termination of the account management contract. At the same time, the bank does not really have to say the reason why it did so, and it makes proper use of this right.
At the same time, comments appeared under the article to the effect that it is not about the cancellation of the accounts of Czech citizens, but those from Russia, although this is also debatable, when these individuals have lived here for a long time and obtained banking services here without any problems.
However, the Mix24.cz server was contacted by one of the Czech clients whom Raiffeisenbank had tricked in this way. “Unfortunately, my experience with Rajfka is similar. Without giving a reason, the bank terminated both my and my wife’s accounts at the same time. I asked in vain at the branch, in vain I called several places in the bank, in vain I wrote an appeal and in vain I asked for an explanation why,” stated Vladimír Bažant, to whom the bank only informed him that it would not tell him any reason.

They fired decent clients
The details of such a statement are interesting. As it turns out, once that happens, you’re screwed with the bank forever. “And in addition, they told me at the branch that it is a lifetime veto, that I can never have an account with Raiffeisenbank or a loan, etc. I note that we are both university students, neither of us has ever been criminally prosecuted, I have a clearance for contact with state secrets, never I had no debts, we never made any suspicious transactions, and yet we are lifelong unsound clients for the bank,” said Bažant, who urges people to pay close attention to this bank.
If you don’t like the bank, and it doesn’t have to be this particular one, it may or may not mean big problems. If you only have a current or savings account with it, then you simply go elsewhere. But if the bank cancels your loan or mortgage, for example, it means that they are due immediately and you have to get the money for them, otherwise you will get into a lot of trouble.

It is therefore more than desirable to choose a bank carefully, because you will be dealing with various financial cases with it, easily for decades. You don’t want her to tell you out of the blue that she no longer wants you as a client. These cases cannot really be reversed and no one at the bank will discuss this with you. There is no appeal.
