Thirty-five students belonging to the seventeenth class of graduates from the School of Early Childhood Education at the University of Valparaíso received their professional degree.
The ceremony for awarding their respective diplomas took place in the Aula Magna Victorio Pescio and was led by the director of said campus, Gudrun Marholz, who on the occasion was accompanied by the head of the course, Patricia Herrera, as well as teachers, family members, friends of the young women.
The new promotion of the UV School of Early Childhood Education was made up of the following students, who received their degree in the mentions indicated below:
—Health Promotion Mention: Yanara Acevedo Bustamante, Paulina Farías Layana, Nataly Gallardo Ovalle, Isidora González Illanes, Javiera Leiva Pérez, Valentina Leiva Urbina, Fernanda Lorca Durán, Natalia Navarro Camus, Valentina Nordenflycht Roldán, Fernanda Oyanedel Morales, Carla Parra Saavedra, Francisca Plaza Jiménez, Ingrid Quiroga Vallejos, Macarena Rocco Bernal and Tamara Terán Bravo.
—Communication and Language Disorders Mention: Paula Canelo Olate, Valentina Canessa Azolas, Fabiola Carmona Fredes, Viviana Castro Gutiérrez, Dominique Correa Martínez, Katherine Fuentes Rojas, Gabriela Henríquez Torres, Macarena Hidalgo Sandoval, Constanza Leiva Cortés, Gabriela Machuca Vargas, Valentina Marín Nieto, Kaled Nauto Sepúlveda, Francisca Pizarro Álvarez, Selma Reyes Álvarez, Antonia Rivera Torrejón, Sarai Saavedra Cepeda, Daniela Salas Baygorría, Fernanda Tapia Kelly, Valentina Torres Cordero and Camila Valladares Guaico.
After receiving their respective diplomas, the new UV nursery teacher, Viviana Castro Gutiérrez, spoke on behalf of her classmates.
Distinguished graduates
During the ceremony, the School of Early Childhood Education distinguished those graduates who stood out during their academic training process. The Faculty of Medicine Award, which is awarded to the graduate who obtains the highest grades in her class, was won by Antonia Rivera Torrejón.
Likewise, those graduates who demonstrated an integrated theoretical and practical mastery of the knowledge addressed in each mention were distinguished. In the Communication and Language Disorders mention the award also went to Antonia Rivera Torrejón, while in the Health Promotion mention it went to Valentina Nordenflycht Roldán.
And the Professional Identity Award, which is awarded to the graduate who meets the conditions and faithfully represents the professional identity of the early childhood educator at the University of Valparaíso, went to Valentina Leiva Urbina.
