The Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences is looking for a research assistant for academic work and social research in the “Academic Work and Social Research” department for the Faculty of Social and Cultural Studies.

Your tasks

  • Preparation and development of your own doctoral project or continuation of a doctoral project that has already started
  • Independent further development, organization and implementation of workshops for students in scientific work as well as in empirical social research
  • Advising students on questions of academic work and empirical social research (especially quantitative social research) and presenting the job offers in the department
  • Support of the e-learning module for the introduction to the techniques of scientific work as well as the module for methods of qualitative and quantitative empirical practical and social research (e.g. through training and advice from tutors, co-teaching or the implementation of specific teaching units)
  • Support in the field of evaluation

your profile

  • Completed social science master’s degree, references to social work are an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of quantitative survey and evaluation methods of empirical social research
  • Experience in university teaching or further education and training are desirable
