This Tuesday, May 2, decree number 294 dated April 19, 2023 creating the University Military Hospital of Sfax has just been published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic.
According to this text, it is the creation of a public health establishment placed under the supervision of the Ministry of National Defence. Its main mission will be to “provide high quality treatment to the military and civilian personnel of the supervising ministry as well as to their families”.
Still according to this decree, it will also be a question of “providing services and treatments to third parties either within the framework of agreements concluded, for this purpose, between the Ministry of National Defense and Tunisian or foreign public or private institutions , or directly to patients subject to payment”.
In addition, the University Military Hospital of Sfax will participate in university and post-graduate education in the fields of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, as well as in the training of paramedical personnel and will contribute to all work related to preventive medicine and health education.
