For the direct entry In your training to become an educator you must have one of the following Requirements fulfill:

• completed at least two years of professional training (e.g. to become a social assistant)
• training in a civil service position (equivalent to a middle service career)
• at least three years of full-time work in the social sector
• proof that a household with at least one minor child was maintained for at least three years
• the technical or university entrance qualification (also called technical high school diploma or high school diploma) + four-month internship

applicants from abroad additionally require:

• the recognition of your corresponding school qualification in Germany (ADD Rhineland-Palatinate)
• Language certificate B2

We offer in our UNImediminis daycare center (children from 9 months to 2 years) or in our Villa Nees daycare center (3 – 10 years). the following training options:

• Part-time training integrated into practice (3 days per week at the university medicine + 2 days at the vocational school)
• Recognition internship as part of full-time training (2 years of full-time school + 1 year of recognition at the university medicine)
• Voluntary social year (FSJ)
