Magdeburg (dpa / sa) – Several employees of the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences were sent into quarantine after a joint meeting. A case of infection became known in the college on Monday, university spokesman Norbert Doktor said on Thursday. The university employee who tested positive for the corona virus took part in the dean’s exam in the Audimax with around 20 other employees on Friday. From the point of view of the university, there was enough space in the hall at the Magdeburg site with around 400 seats. However, the Magdeburg health department decided to quarantine the participants of the meeting who lived in the state capital, said Doctor.
According to their own statements, the university is not affected by the measures. Both the rectorate and the deaneries could continue to work. In this semester, the university relies on a mix of online teachers and face-to-face events.
