Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) – Because of the corona pandemic, the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia is again extending the individualized standard period of study for currently enrolled students by one semester. The NRW Ministry of Science announced on Tuesday that this should mitigate the disadvantages caused by the pandemic, for example due to the omission of face-to-face teaching. The extension will also create the basis for an extended Bafög reference. The standard period of study usually lasts six to eight semesters for the bachelor’s degree and two to four additional semesters for the master’s degree.
