Universidade da Coruña: The Conference on Sex Work closes at the Faculty of Law | Radio Coruña

The Faculty of Law of the University of Coruña has hosted this morning a “meeting with the university community” of the organizers of the controversies Conference on Sex Work, which rule out that it was an official closure. They have had the support of teachers from the center.

Participants in the conference have taken stock of the topics discussed in the conference program, aimed at giving a different vision of prostitution and demanding rights. They were originally scheduled to take place at the Faculty of Sociology, before the University suspended them on the grounds that it could not guarantee security. Finally they have been developed yesterday and today in the space ‘La Comuna’, in Monte Alto.

Prostitutes, escorts, sex assistants, sociologists and activists have participated in the conference. They denounce censorship and claim their role in feminism.
