Universal warning to consumers about fraudulent calls

The insurance company Universal warned consumers about fraudulent calls in that it uses the name of the company to request personal information.

For the past few days, several people have reported to the Call Center Universal that they have been receiving phone calls from a company by the name of the Link After, that requests information and personal data on the grounds that they represent the Universal. When people make the 787-641-0947, they indicate that it is a marketing company that represents banks, insurance companies, among others, and will be returned to your message.

Universal left made clear that it does not have any relationship with the company the Link After, that this company does not provide services to Universal or to any of the companies that form part of the group and that are not authorized to speak or to request information on behalf of Universal. The insurance company urged consumers not to provide any information to Link After, or via telephone, in person or by e-mail, to protect their identity.

Universal reported, by press release, which referred the complaint to the relevant authorities and the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance.

For any doubt, the official line of Customer Service is Universal 787-641-7171.
