Universal vaccination for people over 30 in CDMX starting next week – El Financiero

The Government of Mexico City announced this Friday that starting next week it will begin universal vaccination against COVID-19 for adults 30 years and older.

Eduardo Clark, Director of Digital Government at the Digital Agency for Public Innovation, reported that the vaccination campaign will be intensified in the capital.

In that sense, the vaccination will be completed with the first dose in 914,180 adults of the city halls Tláhuac, Miguel Hidalgo, Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Gustavo A. Madero, Venustiano Carranza, Álvaro Obregón and Tlalpan.

Starting Tuesday, July 20, anyone over the age of 30 can go to any vaccination site that is applying the first dose, regardless of their residence, Clark said.

Details about the inoculation sites will be announced in the following days.

Also, the city will remain on yellow traffic lights next week. This phase will be active from Monday 18 to Sunday 25 July.

Clark highlighted that the positive cases for COVID-19 maintain an upward trend, being the group of people from 18 to 39 years old the ‘red light’ of infections.
