“Universal Vaccination Campaign for Children and Adolescents Launched in Tlaxco, Mexico”

In San Lorenzo Soltepec, municipality of Tlaxco, the state government launched the “Universal Vaccination Campaign for Girls, Boys and Adolescents”, a strategy that seeks to complete the immunization schemes that were left unfinished as a result of home shelter caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, 2021 and part of 2022.

That strategy that Its purpose is to protect the Tlaxcalan population. It is mainly focused on children from zero years of age and on those adolescents who need it. In the case of women, the vaccine against the Human Papilloma Virus will be applied.

Through that campaign, in all state health centers the state government will apply the vaccines and boosters considered within the National Vaccination Scheme, and at the same time will implement brigades to reach remote populationssince the intention is to protect all the children and adolescents of Tlaxcala.

“WE WANT HEALTHY CHILDREN”: GOVERNOR

Leading the start of the campaign, Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros stressed the importance of vaccination to prevent diseases, while thanking the work of all state health personnel What makes this strategy possible? “So that all the children are healthy, we want the Tlaxcalans of the entire entity to be happy and for them to be happy the first thing is to guarantee their health and that they do not get sick,” said the state president at the protocol event.

Accompanied, among other people, by the Secretary of Health, Rigoberto Zamudio Meneses, Cuéllar Cisneros reiterated the recommendation, and he insisted that if people want to be healthy they have to get vaccinated. “You know that with Covid-19 many people unfortunately died because at that time there were no vaccines, and, as it was, the president of Mexico got the vaccines so that we could all be protected; many people have been saved and that is why vaccines help us to prevent diseases, ”he said.

Before students and residents of Atotonilco, The state leader stressed that the people of Tlaxcala are very participatory, which is why it was one of the first states in the country to achieve universal inoculation against this disease (Covid-19).

And likewise, he added, Tlaxcala was the first national place in vaccination against the Human Papilloma Virus in adolescent womenand which stood out in the immunization against the influence in risk groups, which culminated last March.

And it is achieved because we all participate and we are all aware of going to get vaccinated to heal, to be well and not to get sickhe added.

There too recalled that the state government has promoted quality medical care for all, and gave as an example the construction of new medical units and the construction of other that will allow addressing problems that are currently not addressed in Tlaxcala.

DELIVER EQUIPMENT TO ATOTONILCO HEALTH CENTER

During the start of vaccination, Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros delivered equipment for the Soltepec health center, consisting of stethoscopes, glucometers, diagnostic kits, a refrigerator, benches for personnel, a television system, and a DVD for medical education continuous of both patients and interns.
