Universal Robots’ first global center of excellence for packaging and picking will generate €15 million

The center of excellence of the Danish company will generate an economic impact of its own of 15 million euros until 2023, propitiating a great impulse of international attraction for the city. In fact, the center of excellence will become the largest space of operations in the world for collaborative robotics specialized in palletizing solutions, generating new highly qualified jobs that will continue to increase in the coming years. In addition to the center in Barcelona, ​​the company has decided to open two more centers of excellence in Boston and Munich specialized in welding and machine feeding solutions.

The announcement of the choice of Barcelona to install this center coincides with the celebration of #CollaboratePack, one of the largest collaborative robotics congresses in Europe, also promoted by the Danish company, and which will take place dMay 24 to 27 at Hispack. Under the name #CollaboratePack, the congress will feature the participation of more than 40 speakers specialized in collaborative robotics and will focus on the solutions offered by cobots for the automation of packaging and logistics processes. In a space of more than 1,200 square meters, and within the framework of the Hispack 2022 fair, the congress will offer professionals in the sector more than 24 hours of technological knowledge transfer with the participation of more than 20 collaborative robotics partners, who They will present success stories and the latest robotic palletizing solutions.
