Universal Newscast: Taiwan Urges Honduras to Refrain from Establishing Ties with China

Taipei. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan asked Honduras on Wednesday “not to make the wrong decision” to open relations with China, after the president of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, gave the instruction to her foreign minister in this regard.

“We ask Honduras to consider carefully and not fall into China’s trap and make the wrong decision to damage the longstanding friendship between Taiwan and Honduras,” the ministry said in a statement.
