Universal Music record a Barei

Barei already has a record company. The TVE representative has fought in recent years to gain a foothold in the delicate Spanish record industry and thanks to her triumph and talent demonstrated in Eurovision goal, has gone a step further by being signed by Universal Music, as confirmed Bluper, portal specialized in television. Before the public chose her as their representative, Sony Music and Universal Music noticed the artist from Madrid and offered her to be their record company. Finally, Barei has taken the second and since his return from Ukraine he already belongs to this artist factory.

The singer planned to travel to Stockholm without a company behind. The fact of appearing before TVE without a label was one of the points that differentiated this year’s preselection from that of other years. Several singers arrived on public television without a record representative to support the candidacy.

A few days ago, Barei dropped by the Universal Music facility and took photos with some of his team members. It was his communication director, Domingo García, who shared an image on social networks with the singer and increased the rumors of a possible signing.

The fact of being accompanied by a record company is important for a representative in Eurovision. Not only do you get points in your performance at the festival’s grand finale. It is important to promote both inside and outside of Spain, such as attending the Eurovision in concert from Amsterdam. This is the function of a record company, since TVE does not take charge of this type of expenses and only runs with the money that is spent on the event itself.

Universal Music does not travel until the Eurovision Song Contest since Moscow 2009. It was with Soraya Arnelas and the song The night is for me. Since then, Warner Music has been the one that has attended the most times, with singers such as Daniel Diges, Lucía Pérez or Pastora Soler. Sony Music did it last year with Edurne and Dawn.
