Following the huge success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Nintendo is undoubtedly exploring ways to bring its other major franchises to the big screen. On the topic, leaker MyTimeToShineHello, known for reviewing Marvel and Disney productions, has stated on X that Universal is currently developing a live-action version of The Legend of Zelda.
For now, this rumor should be treated with great caution, as there’s no confirmation from Universal or Nintendo that this is happening. However, if there was a company that might produce the movie, Universal would be the perfect fit, as the production giant owns the animation company Illumination that produced the Mario movies.
Are you interested in the idea of a live-action Zelda movie, or would you prefer an animated movie like a Mario movie?
Don’t worry, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox haven’t been cast as Link and Zelda…yet.
